The name, Misha'el (pronounced Mish-Shy-L), is far from typical. So it's only fitting that the girl attached to this name is far from the typical Pop artist. Born in D.C. and raised in Upper Marlboro, MD; Misha'el's musical journey was guided by an accomplished guitar player (her father), a beautiful singer (her mother), and a city recognized for their own unique sound better known as Go-Go music. Embedded into her soul in early childhood, music has been a valued part of the songstress’ life from singing in youth choirs to performing small concerts at home for her family. It wasn’t until the unfortunate and untimely death of her mother during her senior year in high school that Misha'el decided to pursue music not only as a career, but as a form of therapy to deal with her personal loss. This decision eventually led her to L.A. With burning determination, her charismatic personality & undeniable talent, she successfully landed a 4 song production deal with producer/songwriter K12 of 12 Entertainment.

Having musical influences that range from Beyonce and Tina Turner to The Killers and Fall Out Boy, it's no wonder Misha'el's Myspace debut features music that transcends the genres.
